About Boar & Bristle

Hi, I'm Dom and I run Boar & Bristle from Warwick, in the UK. We're a small online shop specialising in paints, brushes, and supplies for miniature painters and scale modellers.

Why I started this

I've been into tabletop games, RPGs and scale modelling for over 40 years and I try to paint every day. Over the years I've worked through a lot of paint ranges, brushes, weathering products, and all the bits and pieces that go around them.

I wanted a UK shop that did paints properly; curated rather than comprehensive, knowledgeable rather than warehouse-like, and run by someone who actually uses the products they sell. The big UK retailers do plenty well, but there's room for a smaller, more focused operation that genuinely cares about the specifics of the hobby. So I'm trying to build that.

The range is built around what serious painters actually use:

• Rosemary & Co — UK-made brushes from Yorkshire. Series 33 Kolinsky, drybrush sets, and other popular ranges.
