Most dry brushes are either too stiff or too soft. Too stiff and you scrub paint onto raised surfaces unevenly, leaving streaks and harsh marks. Too soft and the bristles splay without control, depositing paint where you don't want it. The Rosemary Model Dry Brush solves this by combining both qualities in the same brush. The dense goat hair is soft enough to blend smoothly across textured surfaces while retaining enough stiffness to stay under control.

Handmade in Yorkshire from the finest quality goat hair, the Model Dry Brush range are the ultimate dry brushes. The short black handle (9-10cm depending on size) keeps the brush balanced and manoeuvrable at the painting desk. The bristle density is noticeably higher than most dry brushes on the market, which gives you more control over paint placement and coverage consistency.

Available in five sizes to cover every drybrushing task:

• X-Small (2mm): Single raised edges, extreme fine highlights, very small scale models
• Small (5mm): Standard detail drybrushing, 28mm scale highlights, fur and hair
• Medium (6.5mm): Versatile all-rounder, most drybrushing tasks on infantry models
• Large (10.5mm): Larger models, vehicles, terrain and basing
• X-Large (13mm): Wide coverage on large terrain pieces, basing textures, large vehicles

Brush Care: If used correctly, dry brushes can be cleaned after each use by wiping off any excess paint and rubbing the brush on a hard edge, for example the corner of your drybrush palette. For deeper cleaning, use a brush cleaner or mild soap. Work it into the bristles, rinse thoroughly, reshape, and store flat or upright. Avoid soaking as it loosens the ferrule over time. A quality brush cleaner used occasionally will extend brush life significantly.
